No. 1: The offensive line & Miller Moss (sometimes)

The offensive line and Miller Moss have been an interesting blunder for the Cardinals in 2025 so far. Moss and the offensive line were expected to be at least above average this year, but they have both struggled mightily at specific points this season.

The offensive line has underperformed significantly for Louisville, resulting in the run game being stifled in nearly every game this season against decent opponents. In the past two games for the Cardinals, they have combined for 143 yards. For an offense that features two of the best running backs in college football. Louisville fans are disappointed, to say the least.

Not to mention that their lack of blocking has also been detrimental to the passing game. Miller Moss has had his moments this season and has looked suitable for the most part. However, there have been drives this season that Moss has had that were just horrendous, and his decision-making has been truly a blunder at specific points. However, some of that could be attributed to the lack of pass blocking Moss has had.

The offensive line has had problems keeping Moss protected behind the line of scrimmage, which leads to Moss making a bad pass or making a quick decision that turns out to be a bad read. Moss makes some purely bad plays behind the line of scrimmage, but some of that is due to the lack of protection from the offensive line. It's a double-edged sword for Louisville in all the wrong ways.

But which one is causing more problems for Louisville? It has to be the offensive line from the five games that we have seen. Moss has certainly caused issues, but the offensive line is the true culprit here.

If these problems are not addressed, Louisville could be facing its worst season in the Jeff Brohm era. However, if Moss and the offensive line can get it working, the ACC is open for Louisville to take it; all they have to do is win.
