Louisville football improves to 5-3 after a dominant Cardinals win over Stanford. The Cardinals have now won three straight after UofL defeated Stanford 52-24. Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals' explosive offense were in full swing on Halloween, as they scored 52 points on Saturday, their second 50-plus-point game of the year and their second-highest total.

Louisville football vs Stanford final odds and a prediction

Stanford entered this game on a two-game winning streak, including a win over North Carolina State, a Wolfpack squad that defeated Louisville earlier this year. However, the Cards dominated the second half, outscoring Stanford 28-7 and leading to their 28-point win.

A lot went well for Louisville in this dominant win, and we are here to break it down for the Cardinals' fans. So, here are the three biggest winners from Louisville's 52-24 win over Stanford.

1. Isaac Brown

Louisville's biggest winner of the night was star running back Isaac Brown. After a disappointing game against Syracuse, where he rushed nine times for just 11 yards, the preseason All-American dominated Saturday afternoon, averaging 15.4 yards per carry.

Brown logged 139 rushing yards on just nine carries, including a 75-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Brown did more than dominate on the ground, as the running back also caught the ball three times for 33 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown that put Louisville up 31-24 in the third quarter.

2. Lincoln Kienholz

Leading Louisville’s offense was, of course, their star quarterback, Lincoln Kienholz. The Ohio State transfer remains an elite dual-threat QB, contributing to three touchdowns, including two in the air and one on the ground.

Kienholz finished the game throwing for 250 yards on 20-of-28, while also rushing for 62 yards. Today’s eye-popping performance was Kienholz's fifth game this season with 300 or more total yards and three touchdowns in a single game. That is the most in a season by any Louisville quarterback since Lamar Jackson in 2017.

3. Tre Richardson

What a game from the Vanderbilt transfer! Louisville needed Tre Richardson to step up with Lawayne McCoy out, and that is exactly what he did. Richardson finished with a season-high 140 receiving yards, marking the second-most receiving yards in his two years in FBS.

The 4-star transfer caught 10 passes and added four carries for 49 rushing yards. He is now the Cardinals' leading receiver this season with 40 catches for 633 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
