Miller Moss and the passing game light it up
Miller Moss threw the ball exactly 51 times last game in the Cardinals' win over Pitt. Brohm and his staff have not shown they are ready to unleash the rushing attack, as the offensive line is struggling to get the run game going. The Cardinals have relied heavily on Moss the past few weeks, and with UVA's rushing defense ranked in the top 25, the Cardinals will most likely rely heavily on Moss again this weekend.
Brown and Watson both ran the ball 14 times each against Pitt, with Watson running for 47 yards, and Brown running for just 20 yards. The combination of Louisville football getting into a hole early on in the game and both backs being banged up led to Moss having the keys to the offense. A repeat of the high passing attempts may be underway against the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers put up 46 points on the Seminoles in their upset victory. Oh, and that was their second-lowest scoring game of the season. They have put up 48 points twice and 55 points this season. UVA has proven they can put the ball in the endzone at a high clip. The high-scoring offense from the Cavaliers will force the Cardinals to keep up. How will they keep up? They will have to let Moss loose once again and have him throw the ball all night. This may not be what Louisville football fans want to hear, but it could very well be the reality come this Saturday.
