1. Louisville's offensive line steps up

It seems Louisville fans are still trying to figure out just who Miller Moss truly is as a quarterback. One moment, Moss is running the offense effectively and putting up massive numbers, including three straight games of 300+ yard passing. The next moment, Moss makes a poor decision, leading to a turnover, overthrowing a receiver, or missing a key read of the defense. Most fans are sure to be experiencing whiplash from the hot and cold play from series to series for the senior quarterback.

This has not been entirely Moss’s fault. The offensive line has left little to be desired for their protection of Moss so far this season. Their lack of protection has led Moss to be under duress constantly and to have to make quick decisions before the play fully develops. This play needs to improve if Moss is to continue posting the numbers he has been posting while limiting mental mistakes.

Look for head coach Jeff Brohm and offensive coordinator Brian Brohm to make the needed tweaks to the pass game coming out of the bye week to set Miller Moss and the offensive line up for success. A successful night for the offensive line would see two sacks or fewer on Miller Moss and increased time in the pocket for Moss to effectively operate the passing game. Friday night will be the actual test to see if the bye week tweaks will pay off and set Louisville back on the tracks towards an ACC title game appearance.
