1. Anything is possible in March
This one is obvious, but the NCAA Tournament, or March Madness, is simply one of the best sports events. Louisville didn’t have the season it hoped for, but Pat Kelsey believes his team is peaking at the right time and thinks this challenging schedule has this group battle-tested and ready for a deep postseason run.
Louisville basketball finally breaks six-year curse with massive win over Miami
Louisville entered the season with the sixth-best odds to win the NCAA Tournament, and while that isn’t the case anymore, college basketball fans know very well that anything is possible in March, and you just have to get hot at the right moment. Yesterday, Louisville showed it can win gritty close games in March, and it can get hot from beyond the arc against good teams, shooting 50 percent from downtown, including a stepback 3-pointer from Adrian Wooley to beat No. 22 Miami.
The Cardinals won just 12 games combined before Pat Kelsey took over, so right now, for Louisville to likely be a 6-seed or 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament, Cardinals fans are always going to be excited for some March Madness action.
