Louisville football is emerging as an elite program in the ACC. The Cardinals have won nine games or more in two straight seasons and eight games or more in three consecutive seasons. The Cards have knocked off elite programs such as Notre Dame and Clemson, and have had an explosive offense that has nearly dominated the ACC.

Last season, Louisville's top-25 offense was the only program to score 24 points or more in every game. Head coach Jeff Brohm is not only ranked as the second-best coach in the ACC, according to USA Today, but he also received high praise from CBS's Josh Pate, who claimed Brohm to be a top-10 coach in the nation.

So, with the Cardinals' head coach receiving a lot of praise recently, we decided to take to our social media page and ask who Louisville football fans hate the most.

Honroable Mentions

  • Marcus Freeman - Notre Dame Fighting Irish Head Coach
  • Mario Cristobal - Miami Hurricanes Head Coach
  • Dave Clawson - Former Wake Forest Demon Deacons Head Coach

3. Mark Stoops - Kentucky

It is no surprise that Mark Stoops is one of the most hated coaches by the Louisville football fans. The Kentucky football head coach has been hated for years by the Cardinals fans, as the Cardinals can not stand their in-state rival.

Stoops can be seen complaining, screaming, and just being extra, and it has driven the Cards nation nuts for years. It was a bit surprising to see Stoops only receive 22 percent of the votes, but it is clear that the Kentucky head coach is one of the most hated coaches by the Louisville football fans.

2. Lane Kiffin - Ole Miss

Now, this one was surprising, but not a complete shocker. The Ole Miss head coach isn't the most liked in college football, and the Cardinals fans hate him just as much as every other program. In our poll, Kiffin was answered 36 percent of the time, making it clear that the Cardinals fans can not stand the Rebels' head coach.

The Ole Miss head coach loves the hate he gets, and he embraces it. The Rebels fans love him, but the rest of the nation can't stand him. The Cardinals don't play Kiffin regularly, but they played against him in 2021 when the Rebels and the Cardinals played each other to start the season.

Since then, Kiffin has taken multiple jabs at the ACC, including this past season when he took to X to complain about the college football rankings. It isn't a great look for a program when its head coach tweets and complains, but that is just how Kiffin rolls, and that is why the nation hates him, Louisville fans included.

1. Dabo Swinney

Our poll's clear No. 1 answer was the Clemson Tigers head coach, Dabo Swinney. The Tigers' head coach earned the same number of votes as Kiffin, but some comments clearly showed that the Cardinals' fans hate the Tigers' head coach the most.

It makes sense as the two programs play in the same conference, and the Cardinals fans must see Swinney whine and complain much more than the other two coaches. The Cardinals defeated the Tigers for the first time in program history last season, and the victory tasted even sweeter as the Cardinals fans saw Swinney taste a loss from Brohm and his Cards'. Louisville is emerging as an ACC contender under Brohm, making the matchup with Clemson circled every season the two programs play each other.
