Louisville basketball is close to having its finalized roster for the 2025-26 season, but it just needs to fill out the last few spots. The transfer portal closed a couple of weeks ago, and shockingly, the Cardinals saw their starting center, James Scott, enter the portal.

Louisville will now look to replace Scott from the portal and some key players from last season. The Cards have already earned some massive additions from the portal, as Louisville has had the third-best offseason, according to 247Sports.

The Cardinals will look to address the forward position, specifically someone who can play in Pat Kelsey's fast-paced offense and who can keep helping this elite shooting team. The Cardinals' nation asks for a stretch four, a 3-and-D wing, or a 7-foot center on all social media accounts.

The Cardinals continue reaching out to players in the transfer portal as they are trying to finalize their roster before the team returns to campus for their summer practices.

Kelsey has made it clear that the Cardinals are close to being done but are just not there yet. The Cards' head coach was interviewed and hinted that moves could be coming shortly, but he, of course, could not say who. We will break down three dream Louisville basketball transfer portal targets for Pat Kelsey and the Cardinal nation.

3. Tyon Grant-Foster

Tyon Grant-Foster is a name that has flown under the radar in the transfer portal, but he is a player who can boost the Cardinals' National Championship odds. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward started his career with the Kansas Jayhawks but didn't see much action, so he transferred to Depaul. He ended up making Grand Canyon his home for two seasons.

Grant-Foster is one of the best two-way players still available in the portal. The forward's 14.8 points per game led Grand Canyon, and his 1.5 blocks per game also led the Lopes.

The 4-star transfer averaged 14.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 39.9 percent from the field and 23.2 percent from the 3-point line. He went on to earn a spot on the WAC All-Conference First Team.

He is listed as the third-best forward available after being the WAC Player of the Year in 2023-24 after his 20.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. He has tremendous potential at 6-foot-7 and would be an excellent option as he also provides experience.

He went on to score 23 points, four rebounds, and three assists in the NCAA Tournament's round of 64 against Maryland. The Cardinals have not reached out yet, but Grant-Foster is an experienced senior who could elevate the Cardinals' offense and defense.
