2. J.R. Hardrick - DE

The following dream recruit to commit after a visit this weekend is the 3-star defensive end, J.R. Hardrick. If Louisville can flip Hardrick from a Clemson Tiger to a Louisville Cardinal, that would be a dream come true for multiple reasons.

The first reason, of course, is that the Cardinals would love Hardrick to commit to Louisville. He was the second-highest-rated recruit on campus over the weekend, ranked as high as No. 848 nationally and No. 42 in his skilled position. The 3-star edge rusher would be a massive addition to the Cardinal's defense, but he has already verbally committed to the Tigers, which leads us to the second reason.

Lastly, flipping Hardrick from Clemson to Louisville would make the commitment just that much better. Hardrick committed to the Tigers just days before he arrived on campus, making his visit a crucial visit if Louisville wanted to flip him from their ACC rival.

On3 Sports has the battle for Hardick between these two programs, as Clemson has a 44.2 percent chance to land Hardrick, and the Cardinals are right there behind them with a 38.7 percent chance. It will be hard to flip the 3-star verbal commitment, but it is worth dreaming that Hardrick decides to decommit from Clemson just to become a Louisville Cardinal.
