Louisville football is hosting another massive recruiting weekend as Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals are set to welcome over six players from the 2026 class to campus for official visits. Louisville held over nine recruits last weekend and quickly learned on Sunday that three of those nine players committed to Louisville.
The Cardinals will now turn to this weekend and will be thrilled to have elite playmakers on both sides of the field on campus for crucial visits. Louisville is emerging as one of the top spots in the 2026 cycle, as the Cardinals have landed 17 commitments so far, ranking as high as No. 10 in the nation.
Brohm landed a massive visit this weekend and will look to quickly flip his commitment from the Clemson Tigers to the Louisville Cardinals. J.R. Hardrick will be visiting Louisville just days after announcing his commitment to the Tigers, making this visit with Louisville a crucial last-second visit.

Louisville football aims to steal key Clemson commit after crucial visit
Hardrick announced on his social media on June 5 that he is committed to Dabo Swinney's Tigers. Now, over the weekend, the 3-star recruit will be visiting the Tigers' ACC rival and competitor, the Louisville Cardinals. The Cards' will look to leave Hardrick speechless and extremely impressed and try to flip this Tigers commit into a future Cardinal.
Rivals ranks this edge rusher the highest of all recruiting websites, as he is ranked No. 42 in the edge rusher position. 247Sports also ranks him No. 77 in his position, No. 28 in the state of Tennessee, and No. 848 nationally. While On3 Sports doesn't have him ranked, they do give the Louisville Cardinals the second-best chance to land the 3-star, with a 38.7 percent chance. Clemson has a 44.2 percent chance to earn his official commitment, as just because he verbally committed does not make him 100 percent a Clemson Tiger.
The 6-foot-6, 231-pounder defensive star currently plays high school football for South Pittsburgh in Tennessee. Louisville was the second Power Five program to extend an offer to Hardrick, as the Cardinals made their offer after an unofficial visit in early April this year.
