1. #12 Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The biggest ACC matchup of the weekend comes early at 12 PM on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers and the Yellow Jackets will meet to decide who will jump out to the early lead in the ACC and become an instant frontrunner for an appearance in the ACC title game. The Yellow Jackets enter the game after two strong showings to start the season, including a 27-20 win in Week 1 on the road in a challenging Colorado Buffaloes environment. A win would instantly solidify Georgia Tech as one of the favorites to play for the ACC title, a feat some predicted in the preseason.

Clemson, on the other hand, has been somewhat disappointing to start the season. The Tigers lost at home to the LSU Tigers in Week 1 and had a follow-up sluggish win against the Troy Trojans in Week 2. Clemson trailed most of the game and was on severe upset watch until the 4th quarter. This is an actual “prove-it” game for the Tigers to show that the preseason hype was valid and deserved. A win would show that the Tigers are still the team to beat in the ACC and set up an even more critical matchup against the Cards in November.
