Louisville football's spring practice is in full swing, and the Cardinals are still searching for answers in some key areas.
The spring season is vital for Jeff Brohm and his coaching staff to determine what they need to target in the spring transfer portal. The UofL annual Spring Game will take place on April 11. March continues to be one of the most exciting months of the season, and UofL football is a big reason for this.
However, many questions exist about this Cardinals football team, especially on the defense, as they prepare for their 2025 season. So, here are three glaring questions that must be answered in the spring practices leading up to the 2025 season.
3 glaring questions Louisville football must answer during spring practice
3. Who is QB2 behind Miller Moss?
It has been reported that Louisville's new quarterback, Miller Moss, has looked spectacular at times so far in spring practice. While that is great, the Cardinals still need to decide who will be their second option.
Following Miller Moss, the Louisville football quarterback room includes Brady Allen, Deuce Adams, and Mason Mims. Allen has had a slow start to spring practice and hasn't shown the most potential, while Mason Mims takes the lead for QB2.
These three quarterbacks have minimum experience and much to prove this spring. Jeff Brohm is known to elevate quarterbacks, but it is still uncertain who is expected to be that second option for Brohm in an emergency scenario.
It might be worth looking at the transfer portal for a secondary quarterback behind Moss to improve the depth of this position. If Jeff Brohm decides not to go that route, then one of these backups must step it up this off-season.
