Brohm’s ability to win major, program defining games
He is called “Big Game Brohm” for a reason. Look no further than the masterclass performance Louisville put together just last season when the Cardinals knocked off No. 2 Miami on the road. Arguably one of the biggest wins in Louisville regular season history, Brohm showed once again that he elevated his coaching and gets the most out of his players when the games matter the most. The eventual National Champion runners-up were stopped time after time and overpowered by Brohm’s talented squad.
Yes, Brohm has had his fair share of clunkers as well. However, if Brohm and his coaching staff can resolve the consistency issue, he has shown he can be the guy who wins the big game for the Cardinals. Not many coaches can lead their team into a major matchup and come away with a program-defining victory.
When Brohm’s time as the Louisville coach does come to an end (hopefully in the distant future), there is no guarantee the Cardinals will be able to find a replacement with that same ability.
