With Louisville losing Rooths to the Transfer Portal, the Cardinals might already have a potential replacement on their roster in Mouhamed Camara. The Guereo, Senegal native redshirted his freshman season with Louisville, and now that Rooths is gone, Kelsey will have to do what he can to keep the former 4-star.

Kobe Rodgers just unveiled one Louisville Cardinal who is flat out wowing everyone

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward committed to Louisville last offseason as a hidden gem from the NBA Academy Africa. After playing in multiple events, including the 2025 NBA Academy Northeast Tour, 2024 NBA Academy Games, and the 2024 NBA Academy Winter Tour, the 4-star recruit averaged an impressive 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting 60.0 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Camara already had some players raising eyebrows, as entering the 2025-26 season, Kobe Rodgers stated, the Cards' 4-star has “shown bursts of a special player in the making." Kelsey needs an elite defender, and Camara emerges as someone who can have a major role next season.
