Louisville basketball is expected to be one of the top contenders in college basketball next season, and the glaring reason why is their depth. Louisville is known for its motto, "25 Strong," and they truly will have a roster that embodies that.

The Cardinals' starting rotation is not yet set, but what is certain is that whoever is coming off the bench was most likely a starter previously before coming to Louisville. Pat Kelsey has built a culture unlike any other program in the nation.

The team's energy has been soaring in July, and many underdogs are already stepping up. While many fans are excited to see newcomers like Mikel Brown Jr., Isaac McKneely, Ryan Conwell, and Adrian Wooley suit up, a player who is already raising eyebrows and making noise is actually not one of them, but is Mouhammad Camara.

Kobe Rodgers was one of the four players interviewed yesterday, and when asked about the transfers and the newcomers, he made it clear that it is the 6-foot-7, 215-pound Senegal native who is raising his eyebrows.

"I would say Mo," Rodgers stated. "Everybody knew he was an athletic freak coming in, but a simple couple plays that he made in the two or three live practices that we had, just kind of puts you in awe, and just like wow. Once he cleans up some parts of his game and gets more consistent on his shot, which everybody has to do, but Mo has just shown bursts of a special player in the making."

Camara is one of Kelsey's international hidden gems, he got this offseason. The athletic forward has been seen soaring through the air for tomahawk dunks, putback slams, and more all offseason, and is leaving both Rodgers and fans' jaws to drop.

Rodgers is expected to be a key piece on Kelsey's bench, and it might be a dynamic duo in the making with the point guard and Camara. The Senegal native comes from the NBA Africa Academy program, where he averaged 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game.

Camara is now ranked as high as a 4-star recruit and No. 212 in the 2025 recruiting class. Earlier this offseason, Kelsey stated that Camara has the potential to be the defensive anchor Louisville desperately needed.

The Cardinals' bench is going to be the key to Louisville's National Title dreams this upcoming season, and a player like Camara is crucial. His athleticism is rare, and his ability to lock defenders down and spark the crowd with a monster slam is something Kelsey needed.

These international guys are going to play a bigger role than some may think. Camara and Evangelos Zougris appear to be Kelsey's spark plugs off the bench, and it was just made clear by Rodgers that they are already proving themselves in summer workouts.
