One area fans are asking Pat Kelsey and Louisville basketball to target is the small forward and power forward positions. The Cardinals seem to have a hole in the forward position, as newcomer Ryan Conwell is expected to start at small forward.

At just 6-foot-4, Conwell is undersized, making the Cardinals have a minor hole in the small forward position. Fans also call for action for a stretch four who can play with these elite shooters. Someone with height who can space the floor and play lockdown defense. Kelsey will have some interesting lineups next season, and as of now, the Cardinals don't know if they will get Kasean Pryor or J'Vonne Hadley back and are still waiting to hear from 5-star recruit Nate Ament.

Louisville had a golden opportunity in Tae Davis from Notre Dame, but this 4-star prospect just committed to the Oklahoma Sooners this afternoon. Davis was a 6-foot-7 forward who spaces out the floor as he is seen catching the ball beyond the arc and utilizing his athleticism to break his defender down.

Kelsey must now go back to the drawing board and try and find a hidden gem in the portal in this area.

The Cardinals have the No. 1 ranked offseason so far, and if they can land a stretch four, this team will have a lethal lineup. Kelsey still has some roster spots open and is expected to go after some forwards with those spots remaining.

So, after striking out on one of the best forwards who entered the portal, here are three forwards Louisville basketball must target.
