3. Kennard Davis Jr. - Southern Illinois

2024-25 Statistics: 34 G, 16.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.3 SPG, 45.5% FG, 2.0 3PM, 37.6% 3PT

Kennard Davis is a dominant scorer from Southern illinois and would be a massive pickup for Kelsey and his Cardinals. The sophomore transfer is 6-foot-6, 215 pounds and has the skill of a guard but the frame of a small forward.

Davis would be a perfect player to play with the Cardinals backcourt as he likes to play from behind the 3-point line and space out the floor. The 4-star prospect out of St. Louis averaged 16.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc.

The athletic forward scored 20 points or more inn 11 games last season, including his season-high 26 point performance against Murray State. The jump from the MVC to the ACC would be a hard adjustment, but the skills and athleticism he has would be a match made in heaven for this Kelsey squad.

Last season he made 2.0 3-pointers per game. The Cardinals need a forward who can splash it from downtown or the midrange to help take attention off their shooters. Davis will be a hard grab as he is one of the best players available and is a unanimous 4-star prospect. Louisville should try to reach out to see if playing on a National Championship contender team is something he is interested in, and if so, he would be a perfect role player for this Cardinals squad.
