Louisville basketball is trending in the right direction to have one of the program's best recruiting classes in a long time. The Cardinals have a lot of work to do as they have yet to land any commitments, but Pat Kelsey has found his way into multiple 5-star top 10s, and a 4-star's top 8.
The 5-star Jason Crowe Jr. commitment is the biggest commitment date on the table right now, as he will announce his decision on July 18. The 6-foot-3 guard has over 11 offers so far, and is ranked as high as No. 4 in the nation and the No. 1 point guard, per ESPN, while also being ranked as No. 3 shooting guard in the 2026 cycle, per On3 Sports.
With this massive decision looming, Louisville has its eyes on three other targets as well. If the Cardinals could land these three targets, then their 2026 class would be a dream come true and perfect.

3. Dylan Mingo
Dylan Mingo is emerging as one of Louisville's top targets. The 5-star combo guard is 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds, and is an elite playmaker who can also be an elite shooting guard.
The New York native is ranked as high as No. 7 in the nation and the fourth-best combo guard in the 2026 cycle. He is also ranked as a point guard by On3 Sports and is listed as the best point guard in his class. He is the consensus No. 1 player out of New York after he continues to prove that his potential is limitless.
Mingo would be the perfect replacement for Mikel Brown Jr., as it is becoming clear that the incoming freshman for the Cardinals will be a one-and-done player. Now, Kelsey will have his hands full trying to land Mingo's commitment, but the dream of pairing Mingo up with 5-star Tay Kinney would be perfect.
Mingo averaged 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game last season and later played in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League and was invited to the NBPA Top 100 Camp.
