3. Miami Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes are the biggest surprise of the ACC. Many expected the Hurricanes to have a better season this year than in the past couple of years, but not many expected the Canes to make this big a jump and be the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament.
Louisville's win over Miami just gave the Cardinals the perfect ACC Tournament path
Miami has the fifth-highest percentage to win the ACC Tournament at a 3.10 percent chance, according to Team Rankings. Miami ended the regular season 24-7 and 13-5 in conference games. The Hurricanes will enter the postseason after a close loss to Louisville, but the Canes have some stars in Malik Reneau, Tre Donaldson, and Shelton Henderson, who all average above 14 points per game.
Miami’s path to the ACC Championship game is likely through Louisville and Virginia, which they lost both matchups in the regular season, but by a combined total of seven points. This isn’t the same Miami team many ACC basketball fans are used to these past couple of years, as this Miami has a chance to make a run in Charlotte.
