With the return of star running back Isaac Brown, news that shook the transfer portal early, and the new commitment from incoming running back Marquise Davis from Missouri, the running back room is once again getting pretty full. The departure of Duke Watson helps matters, but the question of Keyjuan Brown remains. Brown had a massive year in the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, posting 96 carries for 704 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. Brown had many opportunities early and often throughout the year as injuries plagued Isaac Brown from the start.

The big question entering the transfer portal was the dollar amount Louisville football would have available to build its 2026 roster. The return of Isaac Brown set the tone, as his price was known to be very pricey, as the Cardinals were up against the major powers that be of the Texas Longhorns. The lack of news surrounding Keyjuan Brown feels to be a good sign for Cardinals fans, but the portal season is not yet over. Getting both Isaac and Keyjuan Brown would be absolutely massive for Louisville, especially with all of the major offensive line additions from the portal thus far.
