Louisville football is having one of its best recruiting classes in a long time, as the Cardinals have earned over six 4-star commitments in the 2026 recruiting class and a total of 22 hard commitments at the moment. Louisville's 22 commitments rank No. 32 in the nation, and after adding Vince Marrow, Louisville has a good chance to only get better.

While the Cardinals didn't earn another commitment, one of their top 4-star commitments in the 2026 cycle just shut down his recruitment, despite elite programs like Texas and Florida heavily recruiting him recently, per Rivals Marcus Benjamin.

4-star Jaydin Broadnax shuts down commitment

Broadnax committed to Louisville back in early March 2025 after he committed to Louisville over Auburn, Michigan, Florida, and others. Recently, the 4-star defensive back has been receiving recruitment interest from Texas and Florida despite being extremely loyal to Jeff Brohm.

So, Broadnax made it clear with a strong message once he shut down his recruiting as he told the nation, "I don't need to see anything else." That seven-word message has Louisville fans stoked to see him suit up in red and black, as Broadnax has been one of the most loyal commitments to Brohm.

Broadnax is constantly hyping Louisville up on social media and reposting when commitments commit to the Cardinals. He can also be seen trying to help recruit some elite talent to the Cardinals on X.

The 4-star ranks as Louisville's No. 2 highest-ranked commitment after he is ranked as high as No. 276 in the nation, No. 27 cornerback, and No. 39 recruit out of Florida. He recently took an official visit to Louisville in June, and the Cardinals made their offer to him back in 2024.

Last season, Broadnax secured 38 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and an interception. In his sophomore season, he earned 49 tackles, two interceptions, 10 pass deflections, a blocked punt, and two fumble recoveries. He has logged a total of 87 tackles, 22 pass deflections, and three interceptions in his three high school seasons.

The Cardinals are thrilled to see him announce he is all-in on Louisville and shut down his recruitment, and now just can't wait to make it official and sign on signing day.
