Louisville football landed its best 2026 recruit so far, as the Cardinals discovered that a 4-star prospect out of Boca Raton, Fla., will be coming to Louisville.
On3 Recruits announced last night that Jaydin Broadnax committed to Louisville over Auburn, Michigan, Flordia, and others.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound safety is currently ranked 316 in the nation and 25 in his position, per On3. Rivals see him just a bit better than On3, as they have him No. 234 in the class of 2026, 33 in Florida, and 17 in his position. However, ESPN has him ranked the highest at 199 nationally, No. 20 in his position, and 32 in Florida.

Elite 4-star recruit picks Louisville football over Big 10 and SEC giants
Louisville football will have an official visit from Broadnax on June 20. The Cardinals made their official offer to the 4-star prospect last March, and it has been one of the most loyal programs to the class of 2026 prospect, and it paid off.
In high school, Broadnax had 87 tackles, three interceptions, and 22 pass deflections. In his junior season, he had 38 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and an interception. In his sophomore campaign, he logged 49 tackles, two interceptions, 10 pass deflections, a blocked punt, and two fumble recoveries.
Broadnax is the highest-rated commitment since 2023, and Louisville football has now secured three recruits in two days. Jeff Brohm and company continue to work overtime, and now the Cardinals just need to go get 4-star running back Kaydin Jones.
Cardinals are currently ranked 35th in the nation for their eight commitments in the class of 2026. Stay updated with all Louisville football recruiting news and updates.
