Florida

The Florida Gators were crowned the 2024-25 National Champions, making them a massive target for their opponents entering the 2025-26 season. The Gators will look to repeat and earn their fourth National Title and their second time winning back-to-back as they won in 2006 and 2007.

Why not go big? The saying is go big or go home, right? This game would greatly benefit Louisville, putting them in the national spotlight that everyone wants to be in, and they would have a chance to establish a name for themselves early in the season.

Taking down the former champs and a team that has what it takes to win again would put Louisville on the map immediately. Florida learned excellent news at the NBA Draft deadline as 5-star transfer Boogie Fland committed to the Gators, and star forward Alex Condon announced he would return to Florida.

This Florida team is ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation in way-too-early rankings. The Cardinals' elite backcourt and international commitments would have a tall task against Florida, but it is a high-risk, high-reward situation, and if Louisville could make this matchup happen, then the nation will respect the Cardinals for just scheduling the game.
