Pat Kelsey and the Louisville basketball coaching staff have made an absolute statement to start the 2026 college basketball transfer portal season. Not only did they get 2 of the top 10-15 portal recruits on campus for visits within the first few days of the portal opening, but they also locked up both commitments that weekend. One of the apparent targets from Kelsey and company did move forward with a commitment elsewhere, as Tyrone Riley (previously with the San Francisco Dons) committed to play for the Oregon Ducks. This now puts the staff back in the hunt for a starting small forward to take Riley’s place.
Luckily, there are many potential targets in the Transfer Portal. The next few days will be critical for Kelsey and staff to find a replacement and continue to bolster an already impressive roster.
