2. Isaac McKneely and Ryan Conwell shine in leader roles
The highly touted senior transfer duo shone in their first official games in Cardinal uniforms, leading the offensive attack, especially on the 3-point shooting side. McKneely got the Cardinals going early as he began raining 3-pointers right off the bat. He set the tone early and was a key contributor of the early lead Louisville was able to compile and maintain throughout the game. If he gets any separation from his defender, you can best believe that shot has a very high probability of going in.
Additionally, Ryan Conwell also played a great game from the wing, continuing to demonstrate that he will be a major contributor and a focal point for the offense. He may not have had the point total that he had in the Kansas game, but Conwell played more consistently on offense, playing within the system and allowing the game to come to him rather than forcing himself to make plays. Conwell definitely has that ability to pull out of the bag if needed against a superior opponent.
The duo of Conwell and McKneely will be entertaining to watch, especially as they play off each other, as the season progresses.
