1. Louisville’s 3-point shooting could be historically great
This was easily the most touted aspect of the incoming Cardinals ever since Pat Kelsey made a significant splash early in the transfer portal season. The incoming shooters, Isaac McKneely and Ryan Conwell, made their talents known right away, as both showcased their incredible talent from deep in the first two games. McKneely, in particular, had a stretch in the Bucknell game where he seemingly could not miss. Their senior leadership on offense will be key for the Cardinals to establish an offensive flow game in and game out.
5-star freshman standout Mikel Brown Jr. can also be added to the “know where he is on the floor at all times” list for opposing defenses. He had an incredible comeback game against Bucknell after struggling mightily from 3-point land against the Jayhawks. Brown showed his confidence as well as his ability to be dangerous from deep. Brown and the Louisville fanbase both needed the 8-11 3-point shooting night for Brown, further solidifying his role as playmaker and deadly shooter for this team. This team will be entertaining to watch, especially when they hit the 3-point ball at a high percentage. Watch for this team to end the season as the best 3-point shooting team in Louisville basketball history.
