2. Downfield passing game is Louisville's kryptonite
Miller Moss can be a quarterback who can nickel and dime throws, drive after drive, and play off of the incredible running game that Louisville possesses. However, he has a glaring flaw with downfield passes. The moment he is asked to make a pass 15+ yards down the field, he has buckled and either thrown into primary coverage or the throw has failed to meet its intended target. It has been an issue all season for Moss and was on full display in the game against Cal.
Louisville’s best chance for success is going to be through its dominant run game. If a game comes along where the run game is fully stuffed and Moss has to put up big numbers and make game-changing throws to win, the Cardinals will be in trouble. Moss has had a mixed bag of performances this season, with high highs and low lows. It just seems that Moss's in-game processing is off, and his confidence is at a season low. Concerning items to see this late in the season, with a transfer that has been an apparent miss from Brohm.
