Louisville football got back into the playing groove this week against the visiting Bowling Green in dominant fashion, defeating the Falcons 40-17. The Cardinals appeared to get off to a slow start, but quickly remedied the situation and continually held control of the game. It was an excellent game for the offense to turn things around, instituting some needed changes and allowing other key weapons to rise and become bigger parts of the offense.
This win should build the confidence of not only the coaching staff and the players, but also the fans, many of whom had some valid, serious concerns with this team after the close JMU win in Week 2. The win was by no means perfect, but overall pointed Louisville in the right direction as ACC play begins next week against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Before we get to that game, it's always great to reflect on the current game and give initial thoughts on how the team is doing, especially as they enter ACC play.
That said, here are five big observations from the Louisville Cardinals' dominant win over the Bowling Green Falcons.
