3. Isaac McKneely
We talked about Wooley, and now we are going to talk about who the 5-star will go up against for that starting spot. Isaac McKneely was a 4-star transfer who ranked as high as No. 20 in the Transfer Portal after his dominant run with the Virginia Cavaliers.
McKneely is one of the best pure shooters in college basketball. His 233 made 3-pointers rank No. 3 in Virginia basketball history, and he did it in just three seasons while shooting 42.4 percent from beyond the arc. McKneely is the favorite to start at shooting guard due to his ability to shoot, as he made 182 3-pointers over the last two seasons, including a career-high 101 last year.
The Cardinals desperately needed some shooters on this team, and McKneely is expected to be one of Louisville's dominant players in transition. Expect McKneely to get the nod to start the season. But as the season progresses, he and Wooley might flip.
