4. Caullin Lacy, WR

Senior wide receiver Caullin Lacy put on an absolute show last week against Bowling Green. Louisville will need much more of the same this week if the preliminary injury report holds true. With the Cardinals RB Keyjuan Brown noted as out, and both Isaac Brown and Duke Watson noted as questionable, it has been rumored that Lacy has been taking some snaps as the running back for the offense, just in case the need were to arise this week. Lacy may add another hat to his already crowded wardrobe if that report proves true.

Lacy is a special talent, as he has shown in the first three games of the season. When he can get into open space, Lacy is one of the best in the country at making defenders miss, hitting the right holes in the defense, and turning small gains into big plays. Louisville will need every bit of this magic, especially if their star running backs are found to be out for the game. Lacy has become one of quarterback Miller Moss’s early favorite targets. Let’s hope this trend continues and Lacy can assist Moss in settling in with the offense and continue to find comfort with his decision-making.
