The Louisville defensive line has arguably been the most consistent, highest-praised position group on the team so far this season. The play led by the likes of Clev Lubin and AJ Green has shown that the line will be the tone setter and the strength of the defense this season. With the early success on the defensive line will come additional attention and coverage, especially to Lubin and Green.

This will open up the door for Wes Bailey to show up and show out. Bailey gave Cards fans a glimpse into his potential, posting his first sack of the season against JMU. Providing this additional production will have opposing offenses continually guessing at blocking schemes and give them yet another key piece to focus on in their preparation. Bailey has all of the skills and size needed to be a force for the defensive line. Cards fans look forward to seeing if Bailey can take that next step and be yet another piece opposing offenses have to account for.
