1. Miller Moss, QB
Let’s be honest. The Miller Moss experiment in Louisville under coach Jeff Brohm has not gotten off to the hottest start. Moss has looked okay, but not the solid, reliable quarterback most Cards fans are used to seeing under Brohm, especially after having second-round NFL draft pick Tyler Shough at the helm last season. JMU’s pressure exposed Moss’s ability to run the offense effectively as well as his tendency to eye his target and give away where he plans to distribute the football.
Bowling Green will be the perfect opportunity for Moss to clean up these items before Louisville starts its conference play run against Pitt in Week 5. Louisville has had high hopes for this offense and this team as a whole all preseason. The one significant question mark was Miller Moss’s ability to overcome previous mistakes and shine in Jeff Brohm’s offense. So far, Moss is falling below the target in achieving these goals. This can be the exact “get right” game for Moss to gain confidence and show Cards fans that he is the right guy to lead the Cardinals to the prized ACC title game.
