Senior TJ Quinn leads the linebacking group, which highlights the defense with the most returning production from last season. Junior linebacker Stanquan Clark has received the most preseason accolades and attention leading up to the season.
However, Quinn has the senior leadership and more experience that will be key to leading the group and the defense overall from a key position for defensive coordinator English. Quinn is the lone senior of this experienced group. It's an opportunity to put this experience to use and help not only tighten up the defensive front but also play his way into a potential post-college playing opportunity.
This will be a key season for Quinn; one where his play may be the difference in wins and losses. We know the offense is primed to be a scoring machine, but will Quinn and the defense be able to provide the needed stops in tense situations for the Cards?
