3. Miller Moss settles in and excels in the 2nd half
Senior quarterback Miller Moss has had mixed results most of the season. He has most definitely had high highs and low lows. Today was somewhere in the middle. Moss started the day looking out of sorts on the offensive end. He kept pressing the ball downfield rather than taking what the defense gave him. He also seemed to have shaky confidence after throwing his only interception in the first half. Luckily, these games have a halftime.
Moss looked to be more in control in the 2nd half after shaking the post-interception jitters. Moss ended the day 19/28 with 136 yards and one touchdown. This stat line is not eye-popping, but entering the season, most did not believe that Moss needed to be this major playmaker for the offense. Moss needed to be a game manager, make the necessary passes, but let the running backs shine and lead the charge. Moss settled into that role and did just that in the 2nd half. He was able to shake off the bad start and deliver a solid performance for Brohm in the second half—a very good sign for the Cardinals as they enter the final stretch.
