2. The running game once again anchors the offense
This Louisville team plays its best offensive football when the running game is excelling at a high level. Isaac Brown once again had an outstanding night, posting 16 carries for 130 rushing yards and a massive touchdown to start the game. Brown got Louisville off to a hot start and was one of the only bright spots for the team as the 1st half progressed. Any offensive production found in that half seemed to come from the legs of Isaac Brown.
Flip to the 2nd half, and Keyjuan Brown deserves most of the credit. Keyjuan Brown finished the game with 12 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns himself (both coming in the 2nd half) on Louisville's way to coming away with the victory. When Louisville needed a workhorse to grind out challenging runs and keep possessions alive, Keyjuan Brown was there, ready to go for the Cardinals. He continues to impress in his role, remaining a bright spot and a crucial returning player for Brohm and this offense.
