1. Caullin Lacy shines and propels Louisville onto the path to victory
The MVP of the day came up with electrifying plays in the 2nd half to completely swing the game’s momentum directly to the Cards' favor. Whether through the air or on special teams, Lacy was able to have a significant impact on the game, particularly in the second half. Lacy started the 2nd half heroics with a 24-yard reception from QB Miller Moss, which brought the Cardinals back within 2 points. Lacy went on to finish the game with five receptions for 63 yards and one receiving touchdown. He was a key target when Moss needed him most.
Lacy also made a significant impact in the special teams, as mentioned earlier. Lacy once again was able to show off his return prowess with a 63-yard punt return that was very close to being a touchdown. Instead, the Cardinals were able to run in a close touchdown with Keyjuan Brown and finish off the drive. When the Cardinals were struggling, fans were looking to see who would step up and get the Cards back on track for a win. Lacy stepped into that role as the senior leader. The Cardinals will need more plays like this as the season progresses.
