5. Mouhamed Camara
Louisville basketball struggled defensively at times last season, but entering the 2025-26 season, the Cardinals feel confident with the addition of Mouhamed Camara and his ability to defend. Not many college basketball fans know about Camara, but the 4-star from the NBA Academy Africa program is a hidden gem for this Cardinals squad.
Last season, he was a dominant defender and two-way player, averaging 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting 60.0 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range. The 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward was turning heads all offseason with his incredible athleticism and ability to defend.
He ranks as high as No. 212 in the nation and is the 43rd-best power forward, according to 247Sports. His ability to jump out of the gym, utilizing that athleticism to defend, will be a massive asset for Kelsey's Cardinals, and it wouldn't be surprising if he becomes a key defender in 2025-26.
