4. Nana Owusu-Anane
The Cardinals have already contacted Nana Owusu-Anane, the Brown transfer, but since he is quickly emerging as an excellent James Scott replacement, we wanted to include him here as well.
Owusu-Anane is one of the best forwards still available in the portal. He is a 4-star transfer and is ranked as the No. 9 best forward available in the transfer portal. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward missed last season with a partially torn labrum, and after committing to SMU, he has decided to test the portal yet again.
In his last season with Brown, he put on an excellent highlight reel, averaging 14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. The Brown transfer has tremendous height and the ability to be the exact player Kelsey needs. He can be an elite scorer, scoring 20 points or more in five games in the 2023-24 season, but he is also an excellent rebounder.
He was able to secure 11 double-doubles in his final season with Brown, including his best performance when he stacked the entire stat sheet against Princeton. Owusu-Anane scored 19 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals while shooting 72.7 percent from the floor.
The Cardinals hopefully continue to be one of his top targets, as after Scott entered the transfer portal, he appears to be a great replacement.
