Louisville football ACC Title odds soar after win

Louisville lost to Virginia back in Week 6, and the fans thought it could be a long season. Louisville's odds plummeted from the third-highest odds in the conference to +3000, and it looked like it was a long shot for Brohm's Cardinals. However, Louisville went to Hard Rock Stadium and pulled off the biggest upset of the season, putting them right back in the mix.

Now, after Virginia's ugly overtime win over North Carolina and Louisville's 14-point win over Boston College, the Cardinals' odds jumped over the Cavaliers and SMU after the Mustangs' loss to Wake Forest. Georgia Tech enters Week 10 with the best odds to win the conference at +170, and Miami is not far behind with +270 odds according to FanDuel.

Behind those two leaders is now the Louisville Cardinals. Brohm's Cards jump the Cavaliers despite losing to UVA back in Week 6. The Cardinals' odds of jumping the Cavaliers were only a matter of time, as the Cavaliers have barely been able to beat Western Kentucky and North Carolina in back-to-back weeks.

The Cavaliers' odds plummeted to +700, and Duke rounds out the top five with +850 odds to win the conference. For the Cardinals to return to Charlotte, they will most likely have to win out. Louisville's schedule is considered one of the easier ones when fans look at their opponents' records.

The stars are beginning to align for Louisville, but they have to keep winning and avoid a letdown performance. Louisville's two toughest opponents left are Clemson at home and SMU on the road. The Cards' odds have been soaring these past few weeks, and with the first College Football Playoff rankings coming out on Nov. 4, this team is heading in the right direction.
