Louisville football is emerging as one of the biggest sleeper teams in the nation right now. Josh Pate listed Jeff Brohm and his Cardinals as one of the top dark horse teams to crash the College Football Playoffs, and honestly, ever since, Louisville has seen its stock skyrocket.

The Cardinals were then picked to represent the ACC in the ACC Championship game by Pro Football Focus, and they even stated that Louisville has a chance to win 10 or 11 wins this upcoming season. Now, the Cardinals are officially making history in the latest expert Danny Kanell prediction as he answers the Cardinals fans' prayers and predicts Louisville to make the 2025 College Football Playoffs.

Now, Kanel is a former Florida State native, and he has been known to give the ACC extreme high praise. However, Louisville is making its prediction and claiming that the No. 8 seed is an excellent sign that Louisville has a legitimate shot at crashing the College Football Playoff party.

"It's easy to say Clemson and Miami are going to be the two teams from the ACC, but I don't know if I necessarily trust Miami yet," Kanell stated. "But, I do like the trend I've seen from Jeff Brohm at Louisville."

Kanell is another college football expert to give Brohm his flowers and praise his coaching ability. The college football expert picking Louisville over Miami makes that blockbuster showdown from Hard Rock Stadium on October 17 an even bigger matchup. Louisville and Miami had an absolute shootout game last season, but the Cardinals look to get Miami's number this year and earn their first win over the Hurricanes since 2023.

"Historically, he's done a phenomenal job with transfer quarterbacks, and he's got another one," Kanell stated on Brohm's offense. "Miller Moss comes in from USC, where he got benched last year. I think their offense is one that's going to be pretty explosive."

The college football expert then went on to praise preseason All-American Isaac Brown and remind college football fans and the ACC that the Cardinals went into Death Valley last season and "physically dominated" the Clemson Tigers.

"They've been a consistent winner, so I trust them more than most," Kanell stated in his conclusion on Louisville. "So I got Louisville as that second team from the ACC."

Kanell also had the Clemson Tigers making the CFP and earning the No. 2 seed. The Cardinals are projected to travel to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs in the first round. Penn State earned the No. 1 seed, with Alabama and Ohio State rounding out the top four and earning the bye.
