Louisville football is the talk of the nation after this weekend and the College Football games. The Cardinals marched into Hard Rock Stadium, led the entire game, and pulled off one of the program's biggest wins and upsets in its history. Louisville played its best game of the season as the Cardinals executed their game plan to perfection, and saw their stars take over and lead them to victory.

With a win over Miami, this Cardinals team sits at 5-1 and in great shape to make a run not just to the ACC Championship game, but a run to the College Football Playoffs. Louisville fans and ACC fans saw a massive switch-up in the odds after this weekend, including a new favorite to win the ACC.

ACC race is wide open with six weeks remaining

Entering this week, Miami was a dominant favorite to win the ACC as the Hurricanes were -220, but after Mario Cristobal's loss to Louisville, the Hurricanes' odds plummeted all the way to +280, according to FanDuel.

With Miami's odds dropping that far, that gave Georgia Tech the room to jump the Hurricanes and emerge as the new frontrunner to win the ACC with +220 odds. The Cardinals made this ACC race wide open with six weeks remaining, and just crushed the Hurricanes' chances of making the College Football Playoffs.

Miami's odds to make the College Football Playoffs are now +720, and Georgia Tech and Louisville are tied for the next ACC team with +5000 odds to make it to the CFP. Yep, Louisville fans, the Cardinals have a clear path to make it to the College Football Playoffs, but the path is going to be hard.

The Cardinals must win out and win the ACC Title game if they want to make history and represent the ACC in the College Football Playoffs. The majority of College Football experts are saying only one ACC team is going to make the playoffs, and that team will be whoever wins the big game.

Louisville's odds increased after Saturday's slate as they now have +550 odds to win the ACC Title, their best odds since the preseason. The other team to have better odds than Louisville is Virginia, with +420 odds.

The Cards' schedule gets easier for the next few weeks, but the big games will be Clemson and then on the road at SMU. Despite the Tigers' record, that will be no easy challenge, as the Tigers have shown flashes of dominance this season.

Louisville's win over Miami changed everything for the ACC and has this race wide open. Miami, Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Louisville appear to be at the top, and the four teams chasing that crown, but right behind are SMU and Duke. With Jeff Brohm on Louisville's side, this fanbase feels confident they can get it done, but it will take a couple of upsets over Georgia Tech or Virginia to make the dream come true.
