Jacob Smith - DL

The second Kentucky transfer to commit to Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals is Jacob Smith. The former 4-star recruit out of high school committed to Kentucky after being recruited by powerhouse programs like Notre Dame, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, and others.

Despite not seeing much time in his first two seasons with the Wildcats, Smith comes to Louisville with so much potential, standing at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. Smith went on to have a dominant senior season for the Corbin Redhounds as he secured 103 tackles, 5.0 tackles for a loss, and 4.0 sacks. He then went on to be ranked as high as No. 97 in the country and No. 18 among edge rushers in the 2024 recruiting class.

Now, he commits to Louisville, ranked No. 701 overall and No. 78 among edge rushers in the Transfer Portal. He is expected to have a role on the Cardinals' stacked defensive line this year after he logged 41 snaps across two seasons with the Wildcats.
