Louisville football is in the mix for two of the best quarterbacks in the Transfer Portal right now. The Cardinals are looking to the portal for the fourth straight season under Jeff Brohm, and early into the postseason/offseason, it is Louisville everyone is keeping an eye on.
Dylan Raiola and Dylan Lagway entered the portal quickly after their 2025 season concluded. With the Cardinals in need of a new QB after Miller Moss graduates, Brohm has been swinging for the fences and is in contact with both Raiola and Lagway. With Brohm's successful history with transfer QBs, Louisville is now emerging as one of the best spots for these transfer quarterbacks, and On3's Steve Wiltfong just confirmed that Louisville is a program not only to keep an eye on, but Lagway would have been "excited" if Florida were able to hire Brohm in their coaching search.

On3 Analyst confirms Louisville as a threat for top transfer QB
This past season, Florida fired their head coach, Billy Napier, and after the firing, Brohm was one of its top targets. He was consistently being brought up, but it was reported that he told them no, wants to stay in Louisville, and is now working on an extension with the Cards. However, during the coaching search for Florida, Wiltfong reported that Lagway would have been excited if Brohm were the next head coach, which certainly suggests Lagway has interest in playing under Brohm even with the Cardinals.
"Louisville is a program that Pete Nakos is reporting with an increased interest," Wiltfong reported. " I know talking to DJ Lagway's camp during the Florida coaching search that a hire of Jeff Brohm at Florida would have been exciting for DJ Lagway with the offensive acumen that coach Brohm has and the ways he developed quarterbacks in the past, and the way transfer quarterbacks have had instant success for him at Louisville. So, they are a program to keep an eye on moving forward."

This is everything Louisville fans want to hear as the portal heats up, with players entering it. Whether fans want Raiola or Lagway, if the Cardinals can land one of these stars, it would be a massive splash and a dream come true for the Cardinals fans. Lagway clearly respects Brohm as a coach, and this report makes it seem like Louisville certainly is a legitimate target for the Florida transfer.
