Louisville football is coming off a devastating loss to the Clemson Tigers, and when fans watched this one, they had a hard time believing the Cardinals were unable to pull off a victory. Louisville's mental errors cost the Cards the game against the Tigers and now threaten to cost their season, as they will be eliminated from any ACC Championship and College Football Playoff conversation if they lose their next game.
Last night, the penalties and missed kicks are going to take the spotlight as to why Louisville lost the game. Still, former Cardinals star wide receiver and current ESPN analyst Harry Dougls took to social media and crashed out on Miller Moss.

Former Louisville football star crashes out on Miller Moss and the Cards mental errors
It is no secret that Moss has had an incredibly underwhelming season, and his poor performances have caused the Cards fans to turn on him. Moss was a big reason why Louisville lost to Cal, and he didn't play anything special last night against Clemson. The USC transfer struggles to throw the ball downfield and struggles when he is under pressure.
Well, last night, Louisville was down one, and Caullin Lacy just broke free and put Louisville right in field goal position. The Cardinals were in excellent position to go up by two with a field goal as Louisville was on Clemson's 26-yard line. However, Moss was under pressure and folded, taking an awful sack and failing to get rid of the ball yet again. Louisville lost six yards, and instead of kicking a 44-yard field goal, they were forced to kick a 50-yard field goal. The rest is history.
Douglas immediately went to X and was outraged. The former Cardinal called this "nonsense" and said he is "TIRED of it," and in another tweet even called it "stupid."
MILLER MOSS again with the #Nonsense …I’m so TIRED of it…YOU CANNOT TAKE A #Sack

Yeah but he’s too OLD to make the same stupid mistakes in EVERY LOSS we’ve HAD …

Now, with Louisville's kicking woes all game, who knows if the Cardinals would have even made the 44-yard field goal? However, a 44-yard field goal sounds a whole lot better than 50. It is hard to blame Moss for this loss; he played fine, not amazingly, but not bad either. However, it is clear that this was Douglas's last straw, and Moss taking that sack caused him to snap.
It was a poor play, and yet again showed that he struggles to perform when the defense applies pressure to him. Moss has had an up-and-down season, committing numerous errors throughout the 2025 season. The fans have been screaming for Deuce Adams to start over Moss, and after taking a sack and potentially costing the game-winning field goal, maybe Jeff Brohm will listen to the fans for the last two games.
