The Louisville Cardinals' 2025 ACC Baseball Championship run ran extremely short as the Cardinals went one-and-done after being upset by the No. 15-seeded Pitt Panthers in the first round. Louisville had higher expectations entering the ACC Tournament, as the Cardinals had been ranked for most of the season and were the No. 10 seed in the ACC tournament.
The Cards now shift their focus to the Big Dance, begin preparation for the NCAA Tournament, and wait to see which regional they are drawn to. The NCAA Tournament brackets will be revealed Monday afternoon, as the Cardinals anxiously await their seed and their draw.
Louisville baseball has been comfortably in the top 64 teams all season and was projected as a 2-seed in most experts' predictions entering the ACC Tournament. With the Cardinals likely to receive a two or three-seed, they must play at the No. 1 seed's home field in the regional round.
