Louisville football is trying to emerge as a top landing spot in college football as Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are quickly turning heads with their ability to recruit. The Cardinals are dominating early in the 2027 recruiting class, already landing seven commitments and ranking as high as No. 5 in the nation.

A big reason Louisville ranks so high is its ability to dominate and recruit in the state of Kentucky. The Cardinals landed Louisville native and 4-star recruit Allen Evans, who ranks as high as No. 39 in the 2027 recruiting class and No. 6 among cornerbacks.

Staying in the Louisville area, the Cardinals are trying to earn another massive local splash, but this time in the 2028 recruiting class. The Cardinals learned they are set to receive a visit from local 5-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall.

The Cardinals learned Wednesday afternoon they are one of 10 schools set to earn a spring visit, as they appear to be in a recruiting battle with Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio State, Indiana, and others. Tom Loy of 247Sports reports Oklahoma is set to host Hall on March 7, Missouri will host him on March 14, Notre Dame on March 25, Tennessee on March 28, Kentucky on March 31, Ohio State on April 4, Indiana on April 11, Georgia on April 18, and Louisville and Virginia Tech the dates are to be determined as of now.

Hall is one of the best players in the 2028 recruiting class, ranking as high as No. 8 overall, No. 1 among defensive linemen, and No. 1 among Kentucky natives. 247Sports Composite ranks Hall as high as a 5-star recruit in the 2028 recruiting class.

Hall currently attends Christian Academy of Louisville and has already received 23 offers, including from the schools listed above, as well as Alabama, Vanderbilt, Michigan, and others. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive linemen dominated his sophomore season, earning Rivals All-American honors after logging 53 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks.

Louisville beat Alabama, Indiana, and many others to secure Evans's historic commitment in the 2027 recruiting class. Now, Brohm and Marrow will try to take it up a notch and try to first secure a visit from Hall and then try to battle with Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, and others for the top 10 recruit and the No. 1-ranked defensive linemen in the 2028 recruiting class.
