Louisville football is having an eye-popping 2027 recruiting class at the moment, as the Cardinals are ranked inside the top 30 and are trying to earn their third top 25 recruiting class in program history. The Cardinals have landed multiple 4-star recruits, including Allen Evans, Jordan Haskins, and Ja'Hyde Brown, all of whom are from the state of Kentucky.
Now, Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are going to try to carry the momentum from the 2027 recruiting class to the 2028 recruiting class. College football programs could start reaching out to 2028 recruits starting on June 15, and the Cardinals are quickly taking advantage of that date.
Brohm and Louisville contacted 4-star two-way athlete Major Floyd, and the Cardinals are now one of the newest programs to extend an offer to the elite playmaker from Georgia.

Louisville and Brohm haven't earned a commitment in the 2028 recruiting class just yet, but the Cardinals are about to begin a strong push now that they can contact these recruits. One of the more recent recruits Louisville fans noticed the Cardinals extended an offer to is the elite two-way playmaker from East Dublin, GA.

Floyd is emerging as one of the top recruits from Georgia, ranked as high as No. 15 in the state by 247Sports. The 4-star two-way athlete is ranked as a unanimous top 150 recruit in the 2028 recruiting class and ranks as high as No. 125 overall in the nation.
The 6-foot, 175-pound two-way star plays wide receiver and safety for East Laurens High School and is coming off a dominant sophomore season on both sides. Floyd logged an eye-popping 26 receptions for 407 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns on offense. And on defense, as the star safety, he collected 43 tackles, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
Along with the Cardinals' offer to the 4-star athlete, Louisville appears to be in a recruiting battle with major programs. Floyd has already received over 13 offers, including from Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia Tech, and others.
Other notable 2028 targets include the Louisville native and unanimous 5-star defensive lineman, Kellan Hall. Right now, it is being reported that the Cards are behind Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Tennessee, but Brohm is looking to make a massive splash as Hall ranks No. 3 overall, No. 2 among defensive linemen, and No. 1 from Kentucky, according to ESPN.
