Fall camp is officially here as Louisville football held its first practice on Thursday. However, the Cards' first practice wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows; in fact, there is a major concern among Cardinals fans.
Louisville football has a massive Week 1 showdown against Ole Miss in the Liberty Mutual Music City Kickoff at Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. This is one of the biggest Week 1 showdowns in college football, as the Cardinals' College Football Playoff chances could skyrocket if they pull off the upset over No. 10 Ole Miss.
But for the Cardinals to upset Ole Miss, Louisville needs to be healthy, and on Thursday the Cardinals' biggest star, Isaac Brown, was on the sideline rather than practicing.

Brown is expected to be one of the best running backs in college football this upcoming season, as the star tailback is on the Maxwell Award Watch List. However, this past season, Brown dealt with injuries that forced him to miss nearly five games, including the time he went out after earning one carry against Bowling Green.
Now, after his major return to Louisville after many thought he was going to transfer to Texas, it appears Brown is dealing with an injury early on in fall camp, and Brohm gave a little update on the concerning situation.
"Apparently, we just got to get him a little healthier,” stated Brohm on Thursday. “Once we do, he'll be out there practicing. That's about all I got for that."
Last year Brown ran for 884 yards and seven touchdowns on just 101 carries. He was about as dominant as it gets, averaging 8.8 yards per carry and running for 100 yards or more in six of his eight games. In those eight games, he had multiple notable performances, like in Week 1 when he earned six carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns, against No. 2 Miami when he earned 15 carries for 113 yards and was a key part of the Cardinals' upset over the Hurricanes, and against Boston College when he averaged 14.6 yards per carry after logging 14 carries for 205 yards and one touchdown.
Brown is a dominant running back, and he has been one since his true freshman season. He broke multiple Louisville football records after breaking the program's freshman rushing record with an impressive 1,173 rushing yards. He went on to win the ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year and ACC Rookie of the Year.
The Cardinals fans will keep a close eye on Brown and his injury, as Louisville fans definitley want him healthy and on the field for their showdown with Ole Miss on Sept. 6.
