Louisville football released its first injury report for the Cardinals' showdown with Pitt last night, and the Cardinals' fans are raising questions about multiple players. Louisville fans learned that Rodney Johnson Jr. is apparently out, but the biggest question of all is whether Isaac Brown and Duke Watson will play.

Well, the Cardinals still don't know. Brown and Watson are listed as questionable, while Keyjuan Brown, Jamarice Wilder, and Shammai Gates are listed as out. So, the Cardinals are now traveling to Pitt with their top five running backs listed as out or questionable, making the fans wonder who on earth is going to play with Miller Moss and this offense.

Well, Jeff Brohm revealed earlier this week that the Cardinals' offensive player of the year so far might be seen in the backfield and take some reps at running back to help this concerning running back room.

Caullin Lacy is one of the most explosive players in college football right now. Despite not finding the endzone yet as a receiver, he has returned two punts for a touchdown and is one of the best punt returners in the nation through four weeks.

Lacy is in the top three in the nation in total return yards, average per return, longest return, and touchdowns. His 231 total return yards rank No. 3 in the country, while 33.0 return yards per punt return ranks No. 2, his 93-yard return is No. 2 in the nation, and his two return touchdowns also rank No. 2 in the country.

Now, the speedster receiver and punt returner might get some reps in the backfield if Brown and Watson are limited or out.

"We have a package of him at running back," Brohm stated. "Obviously, he is great on special teams. Caullin Lacy is a tough young man who loves football and loves to practice. Those are the best guys who can have."

Lacy has shown off his speed at receiver as well, as he leads the Cardinals in receptions with 14 catches, and is second on the team with 171 receiving yards. Lacy is an elite playmaker all over the field, but Brohm revealed they have plays for him at running back, truly telling the fans just how thin this Cardinals running back room is heading into their Week 5 showdown with Pitt.
