Louisville football has its biggest games of the season this Friday night against the No. 2 team in the nation, the Miami Hurricanes. The Cardinals are coming off a much-needed bye week after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Virginia in Overtime.

Now, Louisville sits 4-1 entering this crucial game to try to keep their ACC Title dreams alive. The Cardinals' offense has looked flawless at times, but at other times has looked incredibly underwhelming. Not all of it is USC transfer Miller Moss's fault, but there are times when the fans are left speechless by a mistake he made that feels like a freshman mistake.

So, with Moss's struggles and with Louisville preparing for their biggest game of the 2025 season, Jeff Brohm went on a local radio show and just dropped a massive hint of what might become this Friday night.

Jeff Brohm has a massive trick up his sleeve

Moss has had an average season so far, as he has thrown for 1,358 yards and seven touchdowns, and has completed 67.0 percent of his passes. However, where the Cardinals have seen him struggle is when he is under pressure, as he has thrown four touchdowns, three of which have been returned for a touchdown.

Now, with Louisville set to face Miami, which has one of the best defenses in the nation, Brohm dropped a bold hint that the Cards are preparing to use multiple quarterbacks this game and in the future.

"Yeah, probably this game," Brohm stated on if he plans to use other quarterbacks this season. "We've always had a package of different plays. I've talked to the quarterbacks, it wouldn't shock me if we use certain quarterbacks for certain plays. Whether it's this game or beyond, we'll see. But yes, we have a package for that."

The Cardinals are still having a backup quarterback duel, with Brady Allen and Deuce Adams splitting the backup position. However, Allen has been the first quarterback to receive reps when the backups enter the game. The fans love Adams because of his ability to use his legs and be mobile on the field, and he has the strongest arm on the team.

But Adams had an underwhelming spring and fall camp, while Allen looked much better. Through five weeks of football, neither quarterback has seen much action, but Allen is 6-for-9 for 69 yards, throwing a touchdown and an interception. Adams is 3-for-4 for 18 yards and ran twice for four yards.

Running quarterbacks can sometimes be tricky for defenses to defend, so utilizing Adams and his ability to run could be a nice little trick up Brohm's sleeve for this game.
