The Louisville Cardinals' chaotic offseason is winding down, and they are waiting to fill just one final scholarship spot. The Cardinals will bring in three elite sharpshooters from the transfer portal, Adrian Wooley, Isaac McKneely, and Ryan Conwell.

The Cardinals' backcourt is poised to be one of the best in the nation as the first domino to fall their way was a commit from the class of 2025, as a unanimous 5-star recruit, Mikel Brown Jr., committed to the Cardinals back in January. Kelsey landed this monster of a commit, and he is a massive reason why the Cardinals were able to land the three big players from the portal.

Brown is ranked as the No. 1 point guard in the nation and the No. 6 overall player in the class. Well, the Cardinals now need one final player in that scholarship spot, and Brown's teammate on Team USA is the perfect fit for this Cardinals roster, and it seems Brown agrees.

Brown sat down with Krysten Peek and made a massive pitch to 5-star Nate Ament and why the 6-foot-9 forward should commit to Louisville.

Louisville basketball five-star commit makes massive pitch to Nate Ament at Nike Hoop Summit

Louisville is a finalist for the best player remaining in the class of 2025. Nate Ament, a 5-star prospect from Virginia, has yet to commit, and the Cardinals are one of five teams still waiting.

Team USA blessed Louisville, as Brown stated in a recent interview that the two 5-stars are rooming together during the Nike Hoop Summit, and Brown noted that he is doing his best at bringing one of the best forwards in the class of 2025 to Kelsey and the Cardinals.

"All I am going to say is we have a spot for him," Brown stated in his interview with Peek. "We have one more scholarship. He is my roommate, so I have been talking to him every single day."

Adding Ament to this stacked roster would make this National Championship contending team the favorite heading into the 2025-26 season. Brown is doing the hard work all Louisville fans are trying to do, and thanks to Team USA rooming the future Cardinal with Ament is a great help for Kelsey and his staff to try and get Ament in a Cardinal uniform.

Brown's interview got interrupted as Cayden Boozer, a 5-star commit to Duke began chirping from behind the camera. Brown stated to Boozer that he will make sure Ament is a Cardinal.

"You will be seeing him next year, but he is going to be on my team." Ament stated to Boozer.

Boozer is also a point guard, but is ranked as the No. 4 PG in the class of 2025, where Brown is ranked as the No. 1 or No. 2 PG in the class.

While it seems unlikely that the Cardinals will land Ament, as many recent reports favor Duke, this could be the recruiting pitch Louisville needed to get them back in the conversation. Ament also sat down with Peek and announced that he will commit this week or next.
